	Bradford Observer Index - General	1834-	Bradford Central Library - Local Studies	General index. A full index is currently being compiled by retired library staff on a voluntary basis. Includes everything, adverts, sales, reports of meetings, new buildings etc. for Bradford Metropolitan District area. Work progressing slowly - currently reached 1840. Some later references have been passed on by members of the public from various newspapers listing mainly histories of firms and major articles on people.
	Local Celebrities Cuttings Files	1920s-	Bradford Central Library - Local Studies	Begun in 1920s. Includes some earlier cuttings and very selective at first. Bradford County Borough area until 1974, then Bradford Metropolitan District area.
	Subject Cuttings Files	1950s-	Bradford Central Library - Local Studies	Begun in 1950s. Self-indexing, arranged by subjects e.g. textile firms, schools, churches and chapels - then by name. Major collections on topics such as fire at Valley Parade Football Ground, Peter Sutcliffe (Yorkshire Ripper), immigration and ethnic minorities. Bradford Metropolitan District area since 1974.
